[There's a young girl staring at the street with interest as the various cars pass by. But despite being at a crosswalk, she hasn't actually hit the button.

Instead, she darts out into the traffic, causing an uproar of horns and squealing tires. If your character is fast enough, they might be able to catch her before she gets hurt...!]

[You were probably in the middle of explaining something on the network when this girl chimes in, looking puzzled.]

[It doesn't even have to be a particularly difficult or complicated word. Rather, it seems this girl isn't all that familiar with certain basic human concepts...]

[He was minding his business, heading home from school when he noticed the kid. It's a cross walk he usually doesn't take and it was pretty much going to keep walking away till he saw her dart out]

Wai- Kid!

[Kazu is pretty fast, no he's really fast and pretty agile as he darts after her to try and grab her.]

Instead of a kid, he's currently holding a cat now? And she's looking rather shell-shocked, to boot.]

[Glancing down into his arms he blinks, resists dropping the poor thing and looks around. It was a kid he went after right? He didn't just hallucinate that right?!]

[There's a rather unhappy mewl at first, although her actual reaction is obscured by a sudden burst of smoke. Once it's faded, a somewhat familiar girl can be seen, crouching on the ground.]

[She sounds intensely affronted by this!!]

I- this is it. I'm going insane, I knew the visions meant that.

[He's standing staring at her wide eyed, his hand has come up behind his head to grip at the top of his head in exasperation and nervousness.]

[She climbs to her feet, seemingly unconcerned with the fact that she just broke this poor boy's brain. After a moment of sniffing at the air, she frowns.]

Hey, you. Do you know where Elly went?

[At first, he only spares the girl standing at the crosswalk a passing glance. Their meeting might have ended there if not for the tires squealing and the cars skidding, all peppered over with colorful language in the chaos.]

Huh? That idiot..!

[Sure enough, he's dashing into the road after her, not bothering to beckon her back. He moves to grab her, only hoping that he can manage it before that large truck without enough notice to adequately stop gets to her first. He'd really rather... not have to watch someone clean an innocent girl out of someone's grill.]

[On the bright side, she's surprisingly light!

This might have everything to do with the fact that by the time Otonashi grabs her, he's actually got a cat in his arms as opposed to that spacey-looking girl.

[He looks around as the truck scoots by, its driver blaring the horn at what now appears to be a redheaded teen and his fearless cat. Another car attempting to lay on the brakes, bumps him from the side and sends him toppling over, the cat still in his arms. At least the pair is... mostly on the sidewalk now. Sort of.]

Did I just witness vehicular manslaughter or... lose my mind? [Aaaand now people are staring. Fantastic.]

At least you're not dead...

[The cat is squirming in his arms, and a voice - distinctly female, teenage really - screeching at him.]

Let me go!

[His grip immediately gives way, leaving her free to -- quite literally -- walk all over him to get to the main sidewalk.]

U-um?! Okay, okay, need the nearest hospital, possible concussion, hearing voices come out of a cat...
